I would suggest you talk to your dentist. The whiteners & whitening strips that have made your gums sensitive contain NATURAL whitening agents. There are others of questionable effectiveness, but which can cause damage to and loss of your tooth enamel when you just use them yourself. This includes maniac brushing with baking soda, etc. It could be that you just need a good cleaning and polishing at the dentist's office, which also whitens the enamel to its best cosmetic natural whiteness. If you want more than that, you should allow the dentist to handle it for you. How long since you've been? Should go every 6 mos. for that to maintain health of teeth & gums, which also maintains them cosmetically. I think we've all gotten a yearing for teeth whiter than what is natural with all the home tooth whitening kits, and many people are going to damage their teeth and gums (neither of which grow back) with products trying to whiten beyond reasonable expectations. Instead of white teeth, they are going to end up with false teeth.

Talk to your dentist about your concerns on this.
